4.1. The mixer consists of a housing - 1, inside of which, on bearings -3, there is a 2-screw rotor-2.
Structurally, the rotor consists of two tape spirals of different diameters and different directions of rotation.
A spiral with a larger diameter transports the mixed materials towards the discharge side, and a spiral with a smaller diameter transports the mass in the opposite direction. The efficiency of a mixer is highly dependent on the properties of the materials to be mixed, the rotor speed and the mixer load. The mixed material is loaded into the mixer by ½ of its volume. With continuous operation of the mixer, it is necessary to balance the supply and discharge of material.
If it is necessary to change the mixer rotor speed, replace the mixer drive (gearbox, electric motor)
It is advisable to connect the mixer electric drive through a frequency converter. This will allow not only to set the required rotation speed for the technology, but will also ensure a smooth start of the mixer in the event of a forced stop of the equipment under load.
The mixer design allows for both continuous and cyclical operation.
