Spiral Coal Mixer is a horizontal electromechanical machine, which is one of the most popular types of powder mixers, widely applied to mix powders and semi-moist materials evenly, uniformly and quickly. That is why it is widely popular in the manufacture of chemicals, dry animal feed, building mixtures, adhesives and more. In the cycle of manufacturing coal briquettes, the product performs a preparatory task associated with the fact that various additives and a binder are added to the coal dust powder, which must be thoroughly mixed with each other.
The horizontal coal belt mixer is mainly composed of U-shaped trough, electric drive parts and mixing belt blades. Mixing is the result of turbulence caused by opposing belts, external and internal. Both belts are mounted on the same shaft. The belts have a close gap in the chute that provides an area of high shear at the wall, thereby achieving both volumetric and dispersive mixing.
The cross section and pitch of the belt, the close gaps between the outer belt and the casing, and the number of spirals on the belt are the few characteristics that can vary depending on the materials, from fine, low density materials to fibrous and sticky materials. The entire belt assembly is removable as one piece for quick and easy cleaning.
The tank is mounted horizontally on a raised platform, which is largely done in order to make it easier to receive the unloaded material. To make it easier to load the tank manually, a technological platform with an inclined ladder is formed around it, however, loading can also be performed in a slow automatic mode, for which a conveyor is needed (optional). The U-shape of the tank is more convenient for gripping the material during mixing and unloading. The energy is transferred to the shaft from the electric motor through a low-noise gearbox. Shaft seals are glands that help prevent dirt and product from entering.
The outlet valve can be selected as a ball valve, throttle valve or pneumatic valve. Tank heating system, vacuum system, cover design, explosion-proof motor, converter - all can be installed at the request of the customer.
