Design and principle of operation:
The crusher consists of a body, a cover on which the bearing housing is mounted. The crusher shaft is driven by an electric motor through a V-belt drive. A hammer assembly (hub, hammer discs, hammers, fingers) is mounted on the lower end of the crusher shaft.
The hammer unit is fixed on the shaft (against spontaneous convergence during the operation of the crusher) with a lock nut. The design of the hammer unit discs allows the installation of hammers in two rows (8 pcs. In each row).
Depending on the required degree of grinding, the number of hammers in a row can be reduced. The principle of balanced rotor must be observed.
The efficiency of a crusher is highly dependent on the condition and number of hammers installed. The greatest degree of crushing of the material entering the crusher is achieved when setting the minimum clearance between the hammers and the crusher body and with the maximum number of hammers installed.
